Wen-Wei Liao

I was born and raised in Taiwan and am currently a postdoctoral associate in Dr. Ira Hall’s lab at Yale School of Medicine. My work focuses on human pangenomics, structural variant detection, and the development of bioinformatics tools. As a member of the Human Pangenome Reference Consortium, I have contributed to building and refining the human pangenome reference, a resource designed to overcome the limitations of traditional linear genome models and advance understanding of genetic variation in health and disease.
